Bo Leictreach: The GreenPlay Festival offers a full evening of new 10 Minute Plays, all variations on eco-green themes.

Writers in Offaly, established or aspiring , are being set an unusual writing challenge this summer. A nationwide call for 10 Minute Plays on themes relating to the environment is currently taking place. Festival organizers are keen to showcase as many local writers as possible for this upcoming festival in Birr, Co. Offaly. Birr Theatre in co-operation with Offaly Arts Office, Jasango Theatre, Offaly& Selkie Theatre, U.S.A are pleased to announce the debut of Bo Leictreach: The GreenPlay Festival, an exciting new festival showcasing 10 Minute GreenPlays by regional playwrights.

The Bo Leictreach festival takes place in Birr Theatre on Saturday September 10th/11th. Budding writers can participate in writing workshops entitled “Writing for Theatre” and “ Harvesting Memories for Monologues”. These workshops will be facilitated by American Theatre Practitioners George B. Miller and Kate Scuffle of Selkie Theatre.
